Fitness Through Walking – A 100 Day Challenge

Walking can be an enjoyable and rewarding way to achieve fitness, both physically and mentally. It is a great ‘low impact’ exercise that does not involve cost or over exertion and can be done on your own or socially with friends. This log book sets out 100 walks, or ‘challenges’ for you to complete. You choose your own pace, distance and frequency of your walks – so from absolute beginner to advanced walker this log book is suitable for your ability.

By keeping a record of your achievements in this book you will be able to look back and see your improvement as your challenges progress. You will surprise yourself as you see the difference in both your mental and physical state when you look back at walk 1!.

Each walk in the book you can document date, description and location of walk, start and end time of the walk as well as your walk duration. Note down the distance travelled, the companions you did your walk with if any, weather conditions, any niggling injuries and even if you bumped into anyone for a chat! At the end of each page you can document how you felt after the walk including how difficult you found it, how enjoyable it was and your energy levels – which is the area of improvement you would expect to see get better as you progress through the challenges.

There is also a section at the back of the book where you can jot down your weight gain or loss.

Fitness through walking is an enjoyable challenge for any age and ability.
